Broughton-Hall Fencing has been installing high security electric fencing systems for numerous years. Primarily used around high risk security sites, such as power stations, sub stations, prisons etc. In recent years the benefits have crossed over into the commercial sector, thus protecting sites from fuel theft, vehicle damage or theft from premises.
The system generally consists of high tensile wires fixed horizontally at 90mm centres to the inside of the physical fence. High voltage pulses occur every one second, if touched this provides a short non lethal shock, not only deterring intruders, but also triggering an alarm. This then alerts security that the fence is being attacked.
The system can be linked to CCTV, access control and alarms, using specially designed software.
